Life is Beautiful by Selina Hossain is a symbolic drama. And also experimental. The Author has depicted in it how some youths are running in fear of life. They are terrified, panick-stricken. But nowhere is a desirable place for them. The vast earth could not provide even a tiny accommodation. Deliverance of human conscience is the main theme of this drama.
Many saviors have appeared in different epochs of civilization to deliverance human beings. The dramatist has depicted those great leaders in a universal context. Selina has taken her elements from different historical incidents and themes. She has brought mankind on a common platform. ‘Life is Beautiful’ contains a sense of global context in it. Fareea Lara , who translated the drama from Bangla into English very skillful hand tragic in a air incident. Lara might have been the happiest person to see it in print.

Selina Hossain(1947), a prominent author in Bangladesh. She joined the Bangla Academy at Dhaka and retired (2004) as a director. Her real contribution lies in creative literature. To date, she has published more than a dozen of volumes of short stories and thirty novels. Her work has also been translated into French, Russian, Japanese, Korean, as well as various languages from India.
Among her many national and international awards are : the Bangla Academy Award (1980), the Philips Literary Prize (1994) the Ekushey Padak (2009), and the Rabindra Memorial Award. She also received a D.Lit (Honoris Cavsa) from Rabindra Bharati University (2010). Her novel The Shark The River and The Grenade. base on the Liberation war, has been made into a film.
Fareea Lara (1970), Daughter of Selina Hossain. Masters in Arts Degree in English Literature from the University of Dhaka. She worked as a translator interpreter, and rapporteur for different international and national development organizations of Bangladesh.
By obtaining her private Pilot’s License 1996, and Commercial Piolt’s License (issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh) in March 1998, she was on her way to become an international airline pilot. She was about to obtain her license as a Pilot Instructor.
The combination of her international personality, intelligence, extensive travels, and meeting with people throughout the world made her well-reputed. She participated in two Youth Exchange Programmes organized by Lions Club. She was given honorary citizenship by the Mayor of the State Arizona.
Fareea Lara crashed her Cessna-150 on 27 September 1998. She along with her co-pilot and colleague, breathed her last with the blast of the craft.
