The attitude of the Bangladeshi artists in expressing themselves in fundamentally modern and universal and yet one could say that emotions, feelings, and cultural and political symbolism rather than mere technical or stylistic adventurism, characterize the contemporary art of this country. The very rich artistic heritage in painting, sculpture and other arts, provide the necessary inspiration to the contemporary artists of Bangladesh. In the arts, we do have a future.
