Tuna and Tune are characters that come from folk stories told to me as a child by my Bangladeshi parents. In these stories the two birds were married and went about doing many daily tasks together. Simple tasks for people became adventures for the two little birds. Many other people from South-Asia have stories that include similar characters. The origins of these stories are unclear but are passed down from one generation to the next. The stories that I hope to share with you all are original stories written by me about adventures that Tuna and Tune go on before they get married. They will teach readers about true friendship, diversity and embracing their many talents. I hope to write many more stories about these two birds to share with a new generation just as my parents and many other parents have shared with their kids' hope that these bilingual books will bring kids and parents together in a new way.

Christine Rozario is a Bangladeshi-American writer who was born in the United States and raised by her Bangladeshi parents. She is currently an aging services professional who promotes positive aging through the arts. Her work is with memory-impaired elderly who look to her for direction and guidance. Understanding and helping older adults to continue to enjoy what makes them happy makes her job very fulfilling. She has been learning Bangladeshi folk dance since she was 6 years old and now teaches young children for fun. Christine wants to spread positivity through her books and touch children all over the world. She hopes that her books will create a space where families can read together regardless of their educational background and without any language barriers. She asks for all of your prayers and hopes that you follow her on her many adventures with Tuna and Tuni.
