Preface to the Second Edition
The second edition of Essentials of Legal Research indicates that the different aspects of legal research are of growing intellectual and academic interest and is drawing considerable attention from law teachers and students. I am grateful to the law students and academics for their warm reception of the book.
Like the first edition, this edition is intended to provide an overview of the basic issues of legal research. However, it updates existing topics and addresses them in more comprehensive way. In this edition, I have made some changes in chapter outline and re-arranged the issue of Legal Writing as a separate chapter due to its distinctive nature and importance. I hope that this edition will continue to be a valuable resource for students, scholars and practioners for conducting legal research.
